Wordless Wednesday: Purple Reign – A Crown of Wisteria

It seems to be a great year for wisteria in the UK

There are lots of visitors enjoying the blooms and perfume

It’s a treat to sit under

We are seeing pollinators of all kinds

… on the ever lengthening cascades of purple

The ancient-looking twisting stems add some atmosphere too

It looks divine against a blue sky!

  1. Stunningly beautiful photographs. What a sight to behold…

Beautiful! I can almost hear the bees buzzing. 🙂

  3. Chloris says:

Gorgeous Allison. The pesky pigeons pull the buds off mine so my display never lives up its promise.

  4. Christina says:

Beautiful. I’ve so missed mine this year. The leaves have all grown, and there are the secondary flowers but it’s not the same. I don’t think you’ve shown this part of your garden before.

    • Yes, I am so sorry about your frost struck one. I felt a bit like I was posting this to give you a taster. That is probably true about the garden, at least not from that angle. I should do a walk round some time.

Lovely little spot of purple and shade.

  6. Tina says:

Gorgeous and look at those happy pollinators!

I do love wisteria. This year, I came across white for only the second time in my life. Even though the color differed, that luxurious scent was the same. And, that sound of buzzing bees was the same, too!
