Wasps have such a bad reputation, or at least, are more reviled than their bee cousins. I love them! I love their perfect nests and their elegant form and color. Great capture!
Yeap … I’ve been watching them pollinate the canna flowers this week, but I have to be extra careful picking runner beans. They seem to like red flowers. You are right that they look chic though.
The structure is beautiful, we have wasps that build their nests with mud in which they put live spiders to feed their young.
Fascinating. Bit of awe, followed by gore!!
Very elegant shot of a lovelg creature.
Thx. Looks a bit Disney-like doesn’t it? Just needs bigger eyes (and lipstick)!
What a brilliant opportunity to make great photograph, great that you managed to include the wasps. It’s not often we have the experience of being thrilled by wasps!
How true … since then I’ve been gnashing my teeth while watching the wasps destroy my rain-burst greengage crop!
