Best wishes to everyone for a very Happy Christmas!
Also, you might be interested to know that The Wildlife Trusts are sharing a new winter wildlife challenge with us in the form of ‘7 days of Wild Christmas’ (#7DaysofWildChristmas). It is a chance to get outside, when maybe we are not very inclined to, and reconnect with nature. Let’s all do something ‘wild’ or to help nature each day from 25th to 31st of December. Things like making sure the birds are fed and watered, walking off our Christmas dinner, spotting as many wildflowers in flower as possible (I saw chickweed, daisies and dead-nettle all flowering last week for instance) or doing some star-watching or moon-gazing.

The full moon (the so-called Cold Moon) on last week
Do let me (and @wildlifeTrusts) know how you get on. Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by. It is a great pleasure to read and share comments with so many inspiring and enthusiastic bloggers. Long may we continue to support and encourage each other.
Merry Christmas!
Every day is a wildlife day to me. 🙂 Happy Christmas, Allison!
You are living the dream. Well done! A peaceful Christmas to you.
Thank you!
A Very Happy Christmas to you and your family. A very good suggestion to get out and see what is going on.
Happy Christmas Christina. Have a wonderful time with friends and family.
That’s an amazing moon shot. I have been out on my bike today and I was amazed to see daisies in bloom. I hope you have a wild Christmas Allison. Love your Santa robin.
🙂 The photo is a combination of two to show the general scene, but also the features on the moon. Well done on your cycle ride. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
Some of the same efforts are being made here, with free admittance to parks, Christmas bird counts, and general encouragement — even by retailers — to get outdoors. Best of all, any gift from nature always fits, and never needs to be returned!
Yes exactly … I hope you get to enjoy all those pleasures this Christmas too.
Happy Christmas and have a wonderful new year ahead
Thank you. Wishing you all the best for 2019 too!
