Blue sky, zero breeze, nevertheless our silver birch is gently letting go of its myriad of golden leaves. It is utterly mesmerising.

I’ve been outside for ages staring up into its branches and there’s something very Klimt-like* about those shimmering leaves … if you see what I mean?
* Gustav Klimt‘s Portrait of Adele Bloch–Bauer I (1903-1907)
What a wonderful — and perfect — comparison, made even better by your artistry!
Oh, and I just saw that quotation from Marilyn Monroe. I would have used that with my red tree if I’d known about it. Maybe next year!
Oh my word, that is so red. Incredible!
Thank you!
Beautiful! I love the lazy way leaves let go and drift in spirals to the ground. You can almost hear them sigh.
Thanks Eliza. I took a video of that sigh, but it seems I can’t upload it ‘cos I am on the basic WP package π¦
Rats. Maybe YouTube and then a link?
