Wordless Wednesday – Introducing Slawa

Slawa best

I am in love with tulip ‘Slawa’ this year. It is similar to T. ‘Gavota’, but much classier

Slawa looks sleek and stunning when closed, with delicious colour transitions.

And in the sunshine the open goblets look vibrant and glowing.

Peter Nyssen describes it as seductive … and it really, really is. Look at those satiny petals!

What a carnival!

Oh go on then, just a few more!

Beautiful! The black center contrasts so well with that color – red/coral/salmon? I’m having trouble describing it!
