Cathy at Words and Herbs is spreading cheer and sunshine this week (22-28th November) by posting daily flowery pictures. She has asked everyone to join in if they can, to combat Lockdown, Covid and other stresses and worries. You can do one post or seven posts or seven posts of montages of your favourites (colour-coded, chronological or themed in some other way).
I am a slow starter, this is my first! Hope that you enjoy these rather bright, glossy tulips:
Why not join in and play it forward!
Gorgeous – don’t know if you’ve read my contribution, but it was my tulip pictures that I lost. So lovely to see yours!
Such a shame. You are probably right about a ‘Western’ kind of problem. We copy files to the ‘cloud’ and I assumed them safe until the mirroring setup went wrong and we (temporarily luckily) lost half our baby pictures. I remember admiring your Tulipa whittalli ‘Major’ when you posted about them in the spring.
Spring is in the air! 😉 Your photos are beautiful Allison. There are several tulips popping up in posts today. You have a really lovely selection. I do love all the bright and blousy ones, but T. turkestanica always stands out as one of the most elegant and natural. Thanks for joining in today! 😃
T. turkestanica is a beauty for sure. Tulips are so wonderfully diverse and such brilliant, happy colours.
Glad you joined in today with your gorgeous tulips!
Thank you. I can’t wait to see them again.
A lovely slideshow of floral beauty!
Thank you. It was a pleasure to look out these tulip photos. So cheering.
Nice share, Allison! Gorgeous tulips… I’m esp. loving that wine-coloured one, so rich!
Thanks Eliza. I think the darker tulips invite individual scrutiny more than the bright coloured ones … and I am more than happy to give them the time!
Oh yes, spring is definitely in the air here – lovely, cheerful selection.
I’d noticed that too! We are all anticipating a new season. Thanks.
Great selection, Allison! Many of us seemed to be yearning for tulips today. Aren’t the doubles fun, too?
Possibly the gloomy weather today. Those doubles lasted for ages and were such a blast of fun. I hope some come back next year.
Tulips – hurrah! And if we have all planted ours then we have them to look forward to again 😊
