90 large, decorative cow sculptures have most definitely moved in!
The sculptures have been set up as an interest-inspiring, eye-catching Art Trail around the streets of Cambridge this summer. At the end of the summer, the cows will be auctioned off to raise money for a local children’s charity.
I caught a few on camera, after I went for my second Covid jab:

These are lovely! Dallas/Ft.Worth has longhorns, and we have pelicans. There’s something about these decorated animals that seems to please everyone. I can’t pick a favorite among these. The cityscape, the flowers, and the Starry-Starry Moo all are wonderful.
I must get into Cambridge soon to track down some more of these creations before they are auctioned off. I’ve been goggling your pelicans and longhorns. The pelicans are invariably sweet. The longhorns are certainly impressive and iconic. I particularly liked the avenue of illuminated horns as street lighting.
How wonderful – a fun art exhibit and excellent fundraiser! My favs are Starry-Starry Moo and Honey. I wonder where they will end up?
It’s one of those ideas that had to be put on hold for a year +. In fact, I remember that two years ago I saw those same cows, all white and unadorned, stored in the arcade space where they are now administering vaccines. 🙂
We have some decorative longhorns here in Austin, guitars, too! I love these Cambridge cows; that’s also a good name for a band!
