Wishing you health, peace and a very Merry Christmas

Help Wanted by Timothy Tocher

Santa needs new reindeer.
The first bunch has grown old.
Dasher has arthritis;
Comet hates the cold.
Prancer’s sick of staring
at Dancer’s big behind.
Cupid married Blitzen
and Donder lost his mind.
Dancer’s mad at Vixen
for stepping on his toes.
Vixen’s being thrown out—
she laughed at Rudolph’s nose.
If you are a reindeer
we hope you will apply.
There is just one tricky part:
You must know how to fly.

Love the poem! It reminded me of a quote I saw recently: Peter Pan said ‘The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it’. Happy Christmas!

Thanks for the good wishes, Allison. The same back to you!

  7. Chloris says:

What fun. I read the other day that reindeers are actually under threat because of climate change.
I hooe you are having a lovely day.

    • Thanks Liz. Hope you enjoyed your aristocratic, distanced Christmas dinner!
I just read that only female reindeer have antlers at this of year, so Rudolph’s gang are completely mis-cast!

  8. Cathy says:

What a glorious display that must have been to walk through, Allison! I had a good giggle at the poem! Hope you had just the right sort of Christmas for you 👍

  9. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Allison. May 2022 treat us all a bit better.
